Pictures of our 2013 visit to the Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad.

We had a great time in 2014 too. The train crew and all the volunteers were
very gracious. This is a very fun ride and at ~$25 per person, it's a very
good value. The weather in August is usually great out this way. We highly
recommend visiting the Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad as an annual activity.

The MRSR folks made a lot of improvements since we were here in 2013. Most noticeable
was the fact that the track was in MUCH better condition. The small fee they charge
to enjoy the ride and museum is apparenly being put to very good use. As you can
see by the pictures posted in this segment, the volunteers work very hard to keep
everything running ship-shape.

The obligatory stop in Rainier, Oregon. Pleasant morning but very overcast.
Not the best lighting for picture taking...

Then a brief stop in Mineral, Washington. We were pressed for time.. didn't
want to miss the 12:45 train. Returned after the ride and walked around some.
Mineral seems to be an "interesting" little burb.

Here's even pictures of the Mineral, Washington segment.

Also more pictures of the MRSR Museum in Mineral.

Then off to Elbe, Washinton for a ride on the Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad
Number 17 steamer.

Here's more pictures of the MRSR steam train ride Elbe Depot segment.

We got a much better view (although far from ideal) of Mount Rainier
this time.

Stopped at the MRSR Museum for 30 minutes.
