Chapter one:
My excellent adventure securing what will most likely be my
last new vehicle. And it needs to be an amazingly great one.
Hot rod muscle cars and even high powered V8 motors are likely
to be a thing of the past in a couple of years if these Commie
Democrats get their way. Dodge has already said that the Challenger
will likely be an electric car by 2025, so........
Life is a long and winding road. This is a 2021 R/T Shaker. A full
Hemi, with around 400 HP in a 375 CI motor. The car is an absolute
rocket and the deep, throaty muscle car exhaust sounds very nice....
this car is even nicer than the 2020 Challenger Hemi I rented and drove
all over the USA last Fall
These images were made with my Nikon D810 camera and my
Zeiss Planar T* 50mm F/1.4 ZF.2 manual focus Lens.
So say good-bye, old friend. Drove this car off the showroom floor
21 years ago. Paid more for it (a LOT more) than I paid for the
Challenger. 21 years old and only 70,000 miles on the clock the
E-320 is pretty much worthless.
It's been a long time since I thought about Savannah, the hot redhead
Southern Belle with the accent to match. We dated for quite a few years
back then. She and I drove the Benz off the showroom floor together.
Feb 2, 2000 if I recall. She was my trusted secretary when I was running
BikePAC back then. We sure put on a lot of miles together in this car
and the Moxie bike. I sometimes wonder where she is and hope she is still
above ground, healthy and happy.
If y'all happen to see this, drop me a note kiddo....
It would have been very cool if you took the very first AND the very
last ride with me in Black Ethyl.
I had forgotten what a tiny little thing she was.......
Nice goil..
Seeing as how what's-her-name ditched me so she could be a married man's
mistress I just so happen to have a vacant shotgun seat that would fit
your lovely round butt perfectly. Drop me a note and I'll meet you where
I took you for our first date.
Dusted off the
vintage Corvette LT-4, had it detailed and ceramic
coated.
Sure looks nice. Ran it through DEQ. Plan to drive it some
this year since it is a babe-magnet and a half..... maybe do a few
cruises with the Corvette Club. Driving this hot rod will keep me
out of trouble until the Green Hornet shows up....
Chapter two:
So I thought the purchase of the black shaker was a done deal. Loved the
car, liked the price. But then the Dealership finance guy, a greedy and
dishonest bastard, botched the deal. He was so creepy in fact that I
walked away from the deal and the Dealership.
Negotiated a much better deal with a local Dealership. A fully loaded
R/T shaker with all the options I wanted and none that I didn't want....
at an out-the-door price that was substantially lower than the deal I
make with those crooks at the other place. Wound up saving thousands.
literally.
A 2021 F8 green 5.7L Hemi R/T shaker, M6 6-speed. Ordered it on March 11, 2021.
God hates hot rods that don't have three pedals so this one has all three.
Took delivery on June 9, 2021
Happy Boithday to me!
Say hello to the Green Hornet, A mean, green machine! This car is a real brute!
Looks kinda like an unmarker croooh-zah
Kaitlyn the SpokesModel was the first (of several as it turned out)
babes to christen the shotgun seat. Nothing like rolling down the road
listening to righteous Chicago Blues and a cute blond beside you. Life
took a weird and unexpected turn for me a while back but the change
oddly turned out to be for the better. Go figure...
It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop
suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters
so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new
Bluesmobile or what?
Jake: Fix the cigarette lighter
Chapter three?
So the Green Hornet has 6,000 miles on it (January 30, 2022) and
it's already on it's second set of rear tires. Cutting donuts
is one of the few things that make me smile anymore. I've been
pulled over a couple of times (like I care) and these young cops
apparently expect to find a pimple faced kid behind the wheel.
Well, I'm probably the only senior citizen on planet earth who still
gets pimples but I am definitely not what they were expecting. I
guess I'll never grow up, an observation that one young deputy commented
on before letting me off with a warning. So my record of never getting
an actual ticket in my entire life remains intact. Considering my wild
years after leaving the Military and all my years riding not-quite-legal
motorcycles that's a pretty remarkable achievement.
So the reason I got a baby hemi was because it runs good on regular gas
and because it gets kinda decent fuel mileage if I don't get on it too
hard. But after 6 months of cruising the back roads on it I'm kinda
thinking that I'd love this car a lot more if it had a supercharged
717 HP hemi in it. Sooooooo......
Looking around at insanely expensive Hellcats. It's not like I have
a spouse, SO or loving children to leave my money to, right?
So stay tuned as I am out test driving a few and doing my research and
price negotiations. I'll most likely order a factory built rig to my
specs which will basically be the same as the way the Green Hornet was
built except with a much bigger power plant. And no shaker.... no place
to put it since the supercharger is in the way.
A 2022 or more likely a 2023 model year which I believe is going to be
the final year for the Challenger. The Challenger is going to be
replaced by an eMuscle Barracuda. I wonder if it will come from the
factory with an Obama bumper sticker....

SpokesModel.
