We were out at Cape Lookout last year but it was
so fogged
in you couldn't even see the ocean!
Much better visibility today! Sunny, warm, mostly clear skies.
Saw what we believe was a turkey vulture. Ugly up close but impressive in flight.

Julie has been wanting to go to the top of Neahkahnie Mountain for years. I'm glad
we went because it made her happy. But every self absorbed, narcissistic, Commie
Democrat Liberal Obama Loving Socialist dirtbag in short pants was perched at the summit
with no intentions whatever of "allowing" anyone else to have some space up there.
The only way to get a clear picture would have been to throw a few of these snotty
shit bags off the top.... a thought that I gave more than a little consideration to.
These yo-yos were off-the-scale clueless even by Multnomah County glue sniffing weirdo
standards. It must be great to think you are the only important person in the whole
wide world!
Julie guessed they were from Eugene which very well could be since they had that
same college town resident lack of breeding. Personally, I think they were pod
people from Stepford, Oregon, aka Roseburg. R-E-A-L-L-Y spoiled what was an otherwise
very nice day and series of hikes.
BTW.. in case you don't happen to live in the Peoples Republic of Oregon, here's some
representative quotes from City Officials in Eugene made on 6/28/11:
Councilwoman Betty Taylor compared saying the Pledge of Allegiance to reading from "The
Communist Manifesto."
Mayor Kitty Piercy called the Pledge of Allegiance divisive.
Councilman George Brown voted against saying the Pledge of Allegiance at City Hall
meetings. "People can say it in their front yard or backyard," Brown says. "It really
doesn't help move the city business forward. It does not unite us."
"It's a little ironic to see those who have championed the idea of tolerance be less
tolerant on this question," Councilman Mike Clark Said. Indeed.... Kitty Piercy was
RABIDLY anti-freedom of choice when it came to mandatory helmet law repeal when she
was in the Oregon House of Representatives. When it comes to divisive and intolerance,
Mayor Kitty Piercy wrote the book.
These people make me sick.
And since these Commie whack jobs keep getting re-elected, one has to assume that the
majority of people who live in Eugene must also be out to lunch and agree with these anti
American views. Once again in Oregon, "honoring diversity" does not mean Republicans,
Conservatives, NRA members or people who ride motorcycles.
I do *NOT* like friggin' people... and especially obnoxious yuppie scum Obama lovers!
About two miles South of Falcon Cove and at about mile marker 42, there is a view
turn out and parking area. The trailhead is right across the street. There is another
trailhead about a mile further South that we will check out next time... in the Fall
when the yuppie scum spore are back in school. I'll update this page when we return.
Lots of colorful weeds which made Julie happy.
And a lot of good sized blow-downs.
A view from the summit with the yuppie shitbags cropped out
A final look at the ocean, then up to Tolovana for a nice picnic lunch and then
back to Portland. A very nice day and a couple of nice hikes even though there were
W-A-A-A-Y too many people at both locations.
