GETTING THERE: Eagle Creek exit off of I-84 Eastbound. For more details and
lots more pictures click HERE or HERE or HERE.

Julie at Tunnel Falls.

If you like waterfalls this is the hike for you! And this is the weekend for it...
with all the rain we've had and the snow melt-off, the falls are really roaring
and the creek is running fast and deep. You can usually get a good picture of
Punchbowl Falls from the lower viewpoint but Eagle Creek was so swollen that there
is no way you could get out far enough to get a shot. Even with knee high waders
the current would probably just knock you over. There was a guy shooting the rapids
over Punchbowl Falls in a kayak while we were there. We didn't see him go over but
apparently guys do that from time to time. Not my idea of a good time.....

At the top of Twister Falls. A good place for lunch before turning back. We got
drowned going the 50 feet from the top of the falls to a clearing where we could
put our packs down and have a bite to eat.

Twister Falls.

Tunnel Falls is just too big to fit into one frame unless you have a serious fish eye lens.

It didn't rain at all today (for a change) but you would definitely get wet
hiking the Eagle Creek trail today...... and high 30 degree temps starting out
made for a chilly outing.

Metlako Falls.

This is the "creek" you have to wade out into in order to take pictures of
Punchbowl Falls from the lower viewpoint. No way, today.... even during the
Spring thaw the water isn't nearly this wide or deep.

Punchbowl Falls is a lot more impressive up close and down below, but here's
a look from the upper viewpoint.

Loowit Falls. These pictures just don't do justice to the magesty of some of these falls.
