These images were made with my Nikon D810 camera and my
Zeiss Planar T* 50mm F/1.4 ZF.2 manual focus Lens.
At the entrance to the road leading to Silver City Waze said it was 17
miles and 90 minutes to my destination. The first 6 miles were smooth
asphalt. The last 11 miles were increasingly difficult. Compacted gravel.
VERY dusty. Winding, hilly , narrow road with some massive tire slashing
rocks and potholes.
Enterprise gave me a Cadillac. No problems bottoming out but there were
many places where you were speeding if you were going just a couple of MPH.
No services of course and no wireless. Bring water!
Personally I didn't think the place was worth a 4 hour in and out but...
I was in the area anyway and I'll never be back this way again so.....
